About the event
Join me for a hands-on Golden Hour Portrait photography workshop at Cornwall Park, where we'll explore the beautiful possibilities of golden-hour light and how to use it creatively to produce striking portraits.
Working with our model, we'll explore how changing light, different focal lengths, backgrounds and perspectives can completely transform a portrait.
We'll experiment with natural light, backlighting, soft directional light and creative ways to work with shadows and highlights. You'll also learn how to communicate with your subject, guide poses and make thoughtful choices about composition and lens selection.
With a small group of photographers, there will be plenty of opportunities to practise, experiment and receive individual guidance. We'll work in two smaller groups, allowing everyone time to photograph our model and explore different creative approaches.
Whether you're new to portrait photography or looking to refine your skills, this workshop is designed to help you build confidence and develop a better understanding of outdoor portrait photography.
A selection of Sony Alpha cameras and portrait lenses will also be available to try, subject to availability. This workshop is open to all camera brands.
Please note: This is an outdoor workshop, so weather conditions may influence the lighting and techniques we explore. Participants should be comfortable walking around the park.
